Four seals, reproduced at the size supplied. The rest of this page takes each one in turn and asks the same two questions of it: who does it name, and does anything else on this pack contradict it.

The middle columns are read off the seal artwork supplied with this product. A seal that names a certifying body can be checked; none of these four can.

Three of the four name nobody, which is the single most useful thing this page can report. A seal is only as good as the organisation standing behind it, and where no organisation is named there is nobody to ask and nothing to verify.

That is not the same as saying the underlying statements are false. A facility probably is registered; raw materials probably do come from more than one country. It means those statements are assertions by the seller rather than findings by anybody else, and they are printed here as the first kind rather than the second.

This is the seal that does the most work in this category and the one most often misunderstood, so it is worth a section of its own.

Registering a facility means the Food and Drug Administration has been told the factory exists and what it does. It is a filing requirement. It is not an inspection, not a test, not an endorsement and not approval of anything made there.

No dietary supplement is approved by the Food and Drug Administration. The category is regulated differently from medicines: products do not require pre-market approval, and responsibility for safety and labelling sits with the manufacturer. The regulator’s own questions-and-answers page states this directly, and the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements covers the same ground for a general reader.

A roundel carrying the letters FDA on a supplement pack therefore describes a filing about a building. Reading it as a verdict on a bottle is the mistake the design of these seals invites, and naming that plainly is more useful than reproducing the seal without comment.

An audit of a pack has to check the claims against each other as well as against the outside world. Two contradictions sit inside this seller’s own material, and both are on graphics it supplies itself.

A third device is worth a sentence, although it is not a contradiction. The red roundel reading “The Original, Advanced Support” is a brand mark. It asserts primacy over something unnamed, it is not a comparison with any identified competitor, and it is quoted on this website as artwork rather than repeated as a claim.

Listing what is absent is only useful when the absences are specific, so here are four that would each mean something concrete in this category.

• An independent testing mark. Organisations that test finished products and put their own name on the result exist, and a mark from one is checkable against that organisation’s own register. None appears on this pack.
• A published certificate of analysis. The pack supplies a reference code, ALK-2938-26-GE, and no document. What the reference does and does not establish is on the batch page.
• A botanical identity statement. Species-level confirmation matters most where common names cover several plants, which on this list is most of them.
• A contaminant panel. Heavy metals and microbial testing are the two standard screens for botanical raw material, and neither is mentioned in the material shipped with this product.

None of those four absences is evidence that anything is wrong. Each one is a check that has not been published, and the honest description of this pack on that axis is untested rather than tested and clean.

It is also worth being fair about the comparison. A marketplace supplement carrying four self-applied seals is the normal state of this category rather than an outlier within it. What distinguishes a better pack is a name on a seal, and that is the thing to look for on any bottle.
